got two of these a 22 lr and a 17 in the target versions I am using a leupold 6X24 efr with good luck. I would suggest you try a volquartsen sear and spring on the rifle this will lighten the pull but there still be a lot of over travel.I have tried some other aftermarket triggers but they do require a lot of fitting and adjusting
