New member introduction.

Thanks for the encouragement. I feel I could wear out my welcome with a some of these questions.
Like I said before, I live on an island with no road out , even the next town of 90 air miles away has no road out.
A glue in only stock is not a good idea for me. I can't help thinking I would break it loose some how, winter cold and tapping it on some thing hard, who knows.

I'm kind of stuck on the idea of a BAT pillar bedded action and bullets of around 80 to 105? range, That as far as I've gotten so far.

Tom,
I own 3 Bats, all pillar bedded. I love the actions, and would never do a glue in again. it is so much simpler when the action can be removed from stock. My preferred action is the Model B in 1.5" diameter.
6BR is an excellent cartridge ( I have 2) for your purposes, much less hassle and you will never know the difference from a PPC accuracy wise unless you got into serious competition..

be sure it has a recoil lug if its just pillar bedded as most dont and thats a popular overlooked feature- the reason I suggested screw and glue. twice as strong if not more than a pillar bed only. but hey what do I know:cool:

I'm liking the two replies, thanks. Does the b action come tapped for pillar, can that be asked for from BAT or is that a find a gun smith type order?
Regards, Tom
