Butch,

I have a cathead for my bigger machine that I made just for that purpose. Works like a charm. But...now that I have my Emco Super 11 with its short spindle length (same length as a Heavy 10), that will be my go to for barrel work. It was one nice little machine.

Congratulations on your new purchase it will bring you endless hours of personal enjoyment. When I got my Lathe I wasn't even looking for one or even giving any prior thought to owning one. A close friend mentioned he had one of his for sale and for the price including everything that went with it I would have been foolish not to buy it so I did. It's a 12X37 that he bought new in 1985 and still in great shape and when looking back I don't know how I ever lived without having one?
