NEW LabRadar

This is from the "Bulletin" page on Accurate Shooter site. A very interesting development.

I have inquired of them if the RF interference from the device will affect cellphones and/or FM radios. The doppler radio used during the Cold War wreaked havoc on the amateur radio bands. Also interested, due the claims of broad coverage, if their is any problem from being at the range with other shooters nearby who might also trip the sensor.

Sure is an interesting development for us "testers".

Can't wait to see the price. Gave them my E-Mail. There will probably be all kinds of interference with everything in or lives today.

I emailed them about RF interference and proximity to other shooters and picking up their shots. There answer was within an hour!

Thank you for the question.

It is subject to FCC part 15 regulations, much like your cell phone and should not cause any interference. The radar itself is only active for a fraction of a second after each gun shot.

... and ...

Thanks for the question.

The LabRadar accuracy will not be affected by other shots being fired into your radar beam. Part of the technology built into the system allows it to determine if the shot came from very near the radar unit or if it came in from another location. Since the radar beam is only active for a fraction of a second it is nearly impossible for you to receive a velocity from another shooter nearby.

In the bulletin story they allude to a price something "less than $500". It will be for sale this spring and will interesting to get some hands-on reports and/or tests.
