New Eley

What really irks me is at the end of the "season" or the beggining, some of the shooters have alot of ammo to sell and its some of the stuff I wanted. The question is why did they buy it to sell it or is it the Gear accumulation syndrome. I don't know or at time care.....

If you would like someone to get in touch with you put your name and phone number on a post. I've never seen Bob refuse to sell ammo to anyone that I'm aware of. To say the boys in the south get all the best ammo is nonsense to say the least. Come on down and shoot with us and I'll sell you some of my ammo!

I got some test lots of Team from Dan Killough today. Its not but 3 different lots , 1068, 1074, and for some reason I got 1007 instead of 1071, I didn't know Eley made a vel that slow. Dan had it drop shipped to me from Zanders. I'm going to try to do a little testing tomorrow and see what it will do. Get in touch with Dan, he is a very nice man and will help you any way he can. I'll be buying all my ammo from him now.

does the number look like this?? 1007 - 04232, if it does your looking at the year. If not it may be a misprint!

Here's the thing fellas, it depends where you live when you get the stuff. If I place an order with either Bob or Gene, I get it next day. I don't pay extra for next day, but Zanders is only a hop skip and a jump away. So, to take it to the next level, if I were to test the same day rec'd, it would only two days lapsed, most folks ain't even got their first order yet. Thanks, Douglas

I have had real good luck asking Bob about lots that he is hearing good things about and buying one or two of those lots. If it wont shoot in your gun you can sell it in the classifieds in a matter of hours. Mine have always shot just fine.

Below is from Killough Shooting Sports web site.
It all comes from Zanders so do business with who you feel the most confortable with, if you are concerned about testing and not having ammo left that you test, he says he has the answer.

Frankly I have bought from Collins, Davis and Killough and have no complaints of any of them.

We will send out test lots, and we will guarantee that we have an agreed upon amount for 3 days after you receive the test lots. If you like a particular lot, then you call back and purchase the agreed upon amount.

Price does not include shipping.

Why publish a lot # with his name next to it in the first place? If it ain't for sale, it shouldn't be posted to the general public. Can you say 'Nanny-nanny-boo-boo'!! :p

Everytime I've gotten beat at a match is because the people who beat me got to buy all the good lots of ammo, thats my story and I'm sticking to it (yea right) if that was the case everyone has had better ammo than me at one time or the other. Seriously I've found the best way not to be shut out on a lot you want is when our testing buy test lots from everyone who handling the brand you want that way you should be able to fine something that works for you from one of the dealers no matter where you live.

Joe,

I don't want your ammo, I just want your gun. ;)

I'll send you the address you can ship it to. :D

Your buddy,

Brad

I only ask this on his post.....why not complete cases for availability? Eley doesn't ship the stuff with 4 or 8 missing boxes from a case. He has already promised test lots to folks before he posts. That is fine, he probably has a e-mail list that he sells to first. If not, I question the availability. the lot may be gone before he posts due to reserving by shooters before they test it. If they reserve the entire lot (saying Bob don't sell it until I test it and if it shoots I want it all), then it isn't available.

This does sound like the diamond cartel but how would you do it ?

Instead of

wondering or guessing, just give Bob a call and ask him how he does his ammo. Ask him about the ammo with his name beside it. That would be the best way to get a correct answer, instead of making accusations that could be false.

Finally a smart responce, I call Bob quite often, talked with him last night by phone and again this mourning via computer, he will help ya out anyway he can. He's sending me ammo by a fellow shooter at the crawfish to save the shipping.................Gary
