New benchrest gunsmith

Hey Joe:

Where can I get some of your target to compete in the 25 and 50 yard Postal Matches..??

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave . . .

I hope Rich don't mind (too much) us walking all over his "gunsmithing" post.

You can get small quantities of the USBR target from Kolin Vance, who is the president of USBR. Or, you can order direct from the printer in Colorado at a considerable savings if you order 250 or more.

American Target's URL: http://www.americantargetcompany.com/

On the left side of their home page, click on the "Misc. Targets" button.
Scroll down to the 3rd set of two targets. It is the target on the right.
Don't order the dark green target at the bottom. It was intended for our Iron Sight matches but is not used any more. We are now using the NRA A-23 for our 50 yard iron sight matches on Rimfire Central. That target is under the Small Bore Rifle button on the main page.

Here is my latest graphic describing the USBR target, and where to order a new .22 caliber scoring gauge, being made by Mr. & Mrs. Robert Hughes who shoot with us at our club here in Sault Ste. Marie.

Congrats Rich. Those are the most unique awards in the history of benchrest...and maybe all shooting sports!

Yes, it would be great if we could get Wally-world bulk stuff to shoot as well as the expensive stuff. Maybe the Defense Dept. will invent a special computerized tuner to analyze the combustion and measure bullet charisteristics while the bullet is in the first 3 inches of barrel, then automatically adjust the tuner to hit point of aim. Problem is, it would probably cost $45 billion! Not much savings in the first 200 years.
