I was alerted to this post so let me answer your question.

Right now we only have three rifles that are stocked and being used. Two of them are for Tony B and myself. I don't think I am at liberty to name the third person.

Tony's rifle has shot well. He used it at the SuperShoot and won a yardage and I think he was 5th in the 2-gun.

I have shot mine the whole year so far but between the initial painful tweaking (case ejection) and bolt lift issues I have not performed great. But I have also shot my own bullets for the first time and I now realise that was not the smartest move when trying to qualify for the US Team and prove a brand new action. So I will be shooting some other bullets for the rest of the season. Sad because I had a lot of hope for my 68 grainers. Just need to play more with things. The ejection issue is resolved so well that we expect other action builders to copy the setup. It is awesome. Our wider lug abutments where adding to bolt lift force but that has also been resolved.

The third rifle shoots like a laser. The owner was very impressed and I saw the targets. Pretty astounding.

So the gun works and all the design ideas have stuck. I can tell you from my own experience, switching from a BAT DS, that the feel of this action is awesome.

We are totally sold out of 1st and 2nd production run.

We will be doing a Facebook post to remind people that we are taking orders right now up until the Nationals at $1,850 per unit. After that the price will be set at the standard retail of $1,975. It is a little more than other actions but when you consider all the additional design work and specialised assembly the price is pretty good. Every action will leave our business ready to shoot in a match. No gunsmithing required. Dwight and I are making sure of that.

If there are any other question you are welcome to email me or post here. I think I get an email alert when there are further posts.

Lee, our second production run is scheduled to be completed first week of September. We have been delayed quite a bit but it was imperative for Dwight and I that we were certain that we had met all our objectives. This action was not about producing another action, it was about delivering all the learning of Dwight's into one product. So I would love to have seen this sooner but I am pleased it is right.

If there are any updates on delivery I will post. Our third run should be delivering around December but that is not 100% confirmed yet.

So was the first production run shipped already?

Steve

Yes, first we made 2 prototypes. Then we made another 8 first-production actions. They we ordered up pretty fast. So the second production run is now coming up for release.

There are some minor changes between the fort and second run but the essential core features are all the same. A more significant change is the position of the ejector pin in the bolt face. As our extractor in the initial actions was a little too far away from the bolt face we ran into ejection (not extraction) problems. I did not notice it immediately while testing as I was looking for more major problems. When I was at the Cactus and Hogroast I battled with cases being left in the action. Then as we were looking to solve this and bring the extractor closer to the BF we discovered that by changing the ejector pin position the ejection required much less "tuning" to work properly. Now with the combination of the extractor and ejection pin location we have probably the best ejection Dwight and I have ever seen. Bruce from BAT came up with the idea and we were amazed at how well it works.
