Wrapped a loose piece of papar towel around a Parker Hale Jag and made one pass, removing it at the muzzle. The bore looks as new, and very smooth. The Canjar that I mentioned is in my tool box drawer, as is the Shilen. When the stores open, later this morning, I will make a few calls to locate scope bases, and ammo. I will probably make one trip to the range with the stock trigger, which is well adjusted, just to establish a base line. One thing that I will take along is some teflon tape. In center fire it does a major job of quieting the striker assembly, when wrapped around shroud threads. I will also look at the cocking piece to see how close to vertical (as viewed from the rear, looking down the slot in the back of the action) it is when the rifle is cocked. This has made a difference in CF as well.
