Wife is going to start shooting and there are a few things I'm looking for used:

1) looking for a good used harrell's or RFD powder measure (others also considered)

2) Smiley windflags (or similiar)

3) Smiley windflag poles (or similiar)

4) Harrell's combo press

AND a big bottle of tylenol....

Kevin, I had a Harrell's press (it's a single stage and not a combo, though) and powder measure in the shop you could have bought if you'd only told me. I'll ship them to you for $275 total. If you only want the powder measure I'll ship it for $135 total.

It was nice while it lasted...I'm gonna have to drag my daughter or son along now....they actually taught my wife so that they could "Pass the Buck" so to speak. The youngest will turn 18 in six years so I had better get working on a replacement..

Dick...

I didn't really think about that. Man, this thing can't turn out good now that I think about it. She's very competitive, as I am, so if I beat her...I'm in the dog house but if she beats me...she may be hard to live with when her head gets big...either way...I'm had..  So I figure we won't be able to share a bench cause if your married...you know it will never be arranged/set up right and the more I think about it....I had better add this to the list...

5) Bed...twin, queen or king is fine...I might be sleeping alone

BUT..really, she likes to shoot enough anyway and I have my own 600yd private range so an extra set of flags and poles for the pratice range just makes sense.

I had the pleasure of meeting your Wife this past week end at Rachels Glenn.

I think you should buy her anything she wants. .........jackie

Your right about that....I really married up so to speak. She bow hunts, cuts up wild game, cooks and cleans....I feel about like a slug around the house sometimes. And she's easy on the eyes..:D

Dick...your so right too. Got to get her set up and you guys better watch out...she's very competitive.

My wife, Julia, also shoots, and it's great! She pretty much does everything on her own now. I have gotten her almost everything. She is now asking for her own powder measure and arbor press. Since she's also the accountant in the family, purchasing has gotten easier for me :)

People treat her with respect, help her out, tease her and keep her smiling when she's having a tough day.

Jim Borden is building her a new rifle (he spoils her). This one will be white and gold and she already has some accessories ready for it.

These are good times, enjoy them, I do.

Now let me see! When Carolyn started shooting the good thing was I could buy two of everything and even some toys that I told her we really needed, but after her shooting for several years its the ride home in the RV while I am driving and she is explaining to me what condition she was shooting to make that small group that I should have been watching makes the ride a little longer, but would not have it any other way.

OR

you could be Lou Murdica and have his wife shoot and when she found out that he had all the good stuff she just said I'll take that and put her name on all of it so she new and Lou just had to shine it up for her.

Good luck on the wife shooting, I can honestly say that if my wife did not shoot with me I would have stopped years ago, it is good to things together or you will find out you don't have as much left when she leaves you.

Francis....just guess...my other kids started loading when they were 7 and 8...:D :D

You guys are right. I really think this is going to be great. Before...it was "why do you have so many barrel blanks in the safe" to "which ones of them are going on my gun" LOL.

So, since everyone is so supportive of my wife shooting...I suspect I'll be hearing from you about all the nice equipment that your going to sell me cheap...right?? :) :) Guess I shouldn't hold my breath huh...lol.

Old Duck Hunter

A wise old duck hunter once said that a really good woman should be able to cook, pick ducks and carry a Bible, anything else would be an added bonus. Sounds like you might have a keeper there Hovis. I'm sure SHE'S the one that drawed the short straw:D

Hovis, you have no idea how lucky and blessed you are.............Donald

Donald....Oh yes I do...I had the dark side before...this ain't my first rodeo...I'm a real butt kisser now but honestly, she's so great that it's about impossible to show how much I appreciate her. Her only flaw is jewelry, but it's not that expensive compared to BR. So for her birthday a few weeks ago...I bought her a 500.00 pair of earrings....an me 1400.00 dollars worth of barrel blanks and were both tickeled pink.

Edit: The barrel blanks are now for both of us....she corrected me on my error last night...oh...I was also informed to included that for our wedding...she bought me a 1ct set of earrings.
