NBRSA Rule Clarification

At Seymour last week end, during one afternoon match, Relay Two's targets were accidentally hung for Relay One. Due to the heavy mirage, no one noticed untill a few minutes into the match. A cease fire was called, but it was decided that just let them continue on, and re-lable the targets.

Much discussion was going on in the loading area, most of us on Relay Two, (jokingly), decided that all of Relay One should be DQed.;)

But, there was no foul. The rule book plainly says on page 24, section F, that "the competitor must fire his group on the correct relay, correct bench, and correct target frame". .........jackie

However the rule book also states that in case of some unusual circumstance that is not adequately covered, that the decision of the match director and refs is final. Seems to me the right decision was reached; especially since there was no advantage to either relay except for a good laugh coupled with the embarrassment of the target team.

Good call...virg.
