N130 in 6ppc

Anybody know what a good starting point is for N130 and 6ppc on a Harrells thrower? I'm thinking maybe 50 clicks? Too much?

Goodgrouper 26.5is right at the edge of that stuff. My wife won her 1stgrand agg in1995 using it but the temp was 32 degree,s. Tryed it again when the weather was around 50 26.5and couldnt hardly open the bolt.WE havent messed with it sence then .So be careful.

I found N130 with 66gr projectiles shot the best in my 6PPC at around 47 to 48 clicks on my Harrells. 50 clicks was bordering on too much in my rifle. N130 shot ok but velocities were down compared to N133

I have no idea how much powder is 50 clics in your Harrel and you must weight it to calibrate with your "clics". You can shoot 27.5 grains of N130 in the PPC with 68 gr bullets with good results as long as the ambient temperature remains bellow 71/75º F above that you will have to drop it to 27/26.5 grains. What I found in 4 years of shooting N130 is that you do very small groups once and a while but aggregates are always spoiled by "unexpected" flyers and can not match those of N133. We win matches with aggs not small groups.

Thanks for the replies guys.
My uncle has about 4 pounds of N130 and wanted to see how it would shoot in his new barrel just out of curiosity. I know it probably won't work as well as N133, but maybe it will work well enough to use when it's cool outside.

The ppc factory round was loaded with the N130 It works very well in cold temps.
as usual it varies from lot to lot so take it easy. It shoots little holes,

Jim,

don't be so tight with your 133 loan some to your uncle, he is family for cryin out loud!! Or you could slip him a little blend, I know you have some of that 910 8208 that was floating around!

130 was introduced/promoted at the supershoot along with 133. As I recall, the factory Rep was tellin' folks that the 130 was the choice for a PPC. Turned out that everybody (EVERYBODY) thought the 130 too hot. I figured out how to get the cap off the 133 without breaking the "seal" and then put it back on an opened jug of 130 so folks could return it. Could have made a dollar a cap.....

Yeah, I know, shame on me but the guy should have known what he was talking about. I do apologize to those folks that got shorted a few ounces of powder somewhere along the line.
