Chris,

Very nice!!! Now I've got something more to think about for my TM.

I already have a BM in one of Martin's BR stocks, and my TM is currently in a custon Aluminum stock. But yours looks so nice. Do you know the total weight, including stock?

I'm using the BM for Open and Unlimited Class, but am trying to set up the TM to shoot both HV and LV. Right now it will make weight in both Classes. But that stock makes me rethink where I'm going.

Thanks for sharing,

Dave

Hi Dave,
That was my main reason for getting the custom stock. I wanted the full rig to be eligible for the LV and HV.
The action, scope, mounts, scope enhancer and stock come in at just under 10.3 lb ( 10.5 lb limit for LV). The stock itself was just under 3 lb.
With the original thumbhole stock and sightron 10-50x60 scope it was just under 15lb and considering the huge weight loss it has had no negative impact on my scores. I thought it might be a bit more sensitive/ twitchy being so much lighter but my score average has remained the same.
Regards,
Chris

Looks great Chris!

Is there a sleeve around the barrel with the air stripper integrated or is the air stripper fixed to the barrel and repainted?

The RAW airguns are awesome rifles! I think I'll get one too some day

kind regards,
Tom

Cheers Tom,
Yeah, there is a steel sleeve bonded to the barrel which overshoots the barrel by approx 100mm. There is no air stripper as such just the holes drilled around the muzzle which stabilise the muzzle rather than strip the surplus air ( no air cone in the sleeve)

Chris

Stock Design?

Is this stock designed for Field target? Just wondered as most Benchrest shooters do not use a cheek piece and most do not shoulder their rifle I don't think.

Thanks,

Pete

Hi Pete,
As per title it's a custom Benchrest stock. Those who shoot free recoil don't touch the stock but plenty other Benchrest shooters do, and I'm one of them. I tried free recoil but the rifle doesn't respond well to it.
Cheers
Chris
