shooting 123 hornady a max bullets.....at 100 yards i cns put
4 or 5 in one hole. not sure of the MV..Anyway at 300 yards
it is maybe 5 to 6 inch group..tell me,WTH is going on here.

what is the shape of the group at 300....

with no wind flags how do you KNOW there was no wind at 200 or 300 yds ??

wel, there are some ribbons out there that were not moving. i would say the group
at 300 was about 6 inch,scattered..

What else could it be but the wind...or lack of wind causing something goofy? Some of the largest groups I've shot were in a no wind condition. I don't think anybody knows why that happens. Usually it's a few shots together and one or two WAY out in any direction.

What size is the group at 100 yds?

I had two 6.5 Creedmoors barreled @ Douglas Barrels Mine would shoot 1/4" to mid 3's @ 100,,, and would shoot 1-1/2" to3-1/2" groups @ 500.. This was w/8 twist HV barrel on trued Rem 700,, HS stock.. 140 , 142 smk.. The other belongs to a friend . His shoots the same but w/130 Bergers.. Mine also shot Hornady factory 140 a-max well at 100 , 200 ,, but not as well @ 500

Also,, I have 3 other friends w/custom Creedmoors on Stiller Predator actions,, All three of these guns perform great @ all yardages out to 1000yds..One shot a 3-1/2" group @ 1000.. All these groups mentioned were 3 shot,, except for some of the 100 yd groups.. All of the Stiller Predators were built by Southern Precision/Bugholes,,, Mr. Greg Young.. Last but not least Mr. Young put together another 6.5 Creedmoor for another friend,, w/Douglas #4 sporter barrel . This rifle shoots great out to 500,, (3 shot groups). ( the other three
Stillers have Brux barrels , All the barrels on the custom actions are Rem. Varmint Taper (sendero ) except the one w/#4 douglas

All the rifles mentioned like H-4350, + or - one tenth grain. My personal rifle also liked Rel 17.. I have since had my barrel turned to sporter weight for hunting ,, it shoots about 3/4" @ 100 yd now. , but very suitable for deer. I have since acquired an Obermeyer Sendero taper,, that will soon be a Creedmoor.

What type rifle do you have. Is it custom

This rifle is built on a savage 10 action.bell carlson stock.piller
bedded,etc..I HAVE put several together and never had an issue llike
this..I called Shaw barrel and he said these barrels are sent out without
ant lapping, etc. My next thought was to run some of David Tubbs bullets
thru it..Tones that are suppose to polish the barrel and throat, whatever.

I have heard good things about them..My barrel coppers really bad..
So maybe those bullets might be of help...

6.5 Creedmoor

I have worked on many 6.5 Creedmoor(s). It is a great round, especially for those who don't reload. The Hornady 123 grain Amax 6.5 Creedmoor list 39 grains of Varget. I have duplicated this and found every rifle I have shot would shoot sub half MOA at 100-600 yds.

Copper is probably the cause - probably. I don't know why some shots go where they are supposed to and a single shot flies out but it does. If the barrel coppers badly you're on your own as to fixin' it. Truth is, you've got to fix it or get another one so losing the barrel is not a great big deal.
