Mountain Man Rifle Match

A really well run, challenging and fun shoot!

That UBR target is designed so the shooter must develop a strategy to best shoot it.

Thanks Robert and Danny.

Rick who was there with Indiana plates? I didn't circulate much because I can't recognize facial features anymore at much distance especially in dim light like under a roof with bright light outside. I introduced myself to Danny to which he said he had been to my house!! Bad eyesight or poor memory?

The only strategy that I've found to work is to hit as many of those little dots as possible!;) It is a fun and challenging game, though...and has humbled several very good shooters. It's humbled me a lot, too. I just don't fall into that "very good" category.

Jerry, I'm glad you went and had a good time...Sorry I missed it and meeting you. Dang work gets in the way of my fun an awful lot lately.

Did I read that there was another match in the same area, going on at the same time?

Jerry,
That was Dallas Walker and Jay Fruth. Jay lives in Napoleon OH as I recall. Not sure exactly where Dallas lives, but he has done the VHA matches in Wabash IN in the past. BTW- it was good to meet you.

Mountain Man Shoot.

Just wondering guys, it has been 2 weeks since the Mountain Man Shoot and still no results. Anybody have any information on the shoot?

I sent Robert a email an few days ago, now response!

Dan, that place is so far back in those beautiful woods it may take weeks for an email to get there. Parts of Lee County Virginia still use carrier pigeons for email so I hear!!

In Robert's defense though he may be too busy. Isn't he a high school football coach? I know that the day of that shoot he had not even been to bed the night before having stayed up all night fixing the biscuits and gravy. He could sell that recipe for those biscuits.

You may be right Jerry, but it didn't take a load of chiggers long to get out of there! Just a damn Yankee, I was covered up, itched in places I never thought could itch. When I go back there I'll have a can of bug spray in my bolt holster, everything will get sprayed. Damn those things are mean.:(
