Guys, I'm making plans to come to the Shamrock, not to shoot, just to look around and get the feel of things as I have never been to an actual organized match before. Anybody gonna be there that would be willing to show a new guy the ropes so to speak?

Which Motels are nearest to the range? Or easiest to drive from?

Shamrock Info

Hi guys, I'm back!!! Motel info can be found on our web site, mggoa.com Also I will be there most of the week riding around on my polaris. Stop me, and I will be glad to try to help. Thanks,. Rusty Carr

Hi Rusty,
Of the motels listed on the website which are the closest or most convenient to drive to from the range.

Motels

Don, they are all within 1/2 mile of each other, within about 7 mi. from the range. The LaQuinta is brand new and is right by an Outback Steak house and a Cracker Barrel. I should have mentioned I have no official job with the Match this year, but I do plan to try to help things go smoothly. Thanks, Rusty Carr

Thanks Rusty,
Just what I needed to know. See you next month.

Due to a recent quirk

I have become interested in perhaps attending the Shamrock. Could someone please tell me the dates? I looked around a bit but couldn't seem to find them. Thanks. Pete

Shamrock info

Having shot many times in Dublin, I recommend the LaQuinta: the parking lot adjoins the Cracker Barrel AND LongHorns Steakhouse. There are other choices in the same area for lodging and dining. However, unless the place has come under new management recently, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THE DAYS INN. My wife and I have stayed there twice; the first time and the last time. I really do not like posting this sort of info, but trust me, this is not the place to stay. That place lends new meaning to the term "well maintained". I know some of you guys, and I think you should know about it.
Maybe Rusty or some of the locals will chime in and correct me if the place has been corrected. I really hope it has.

Guys, you are in much better position than those of us who live here to judge the motels. I have heard the same complaints, and as there are pleasant alternatives, why bother. Thanks, Rusty

Still need shooters for the shamrock

We still have about 50 spots open and camping available.

Our web site was down since Sunday. It is back up now.

This is a quick link to the registration packet. The last page is a daily schedule with times.
