I just received 2 new Mcmillan edge BR stocks that will not stabilize in the rear edgewood original bag. My old Mcmillan stocks work fine. The edge stocks are thinner than the original stocks and it appears the bunny ears are too far apart for the new edge stocks. What kind of rear bag is needed for the edge stocks? Thanks.:(:(:(:(

I've been using a new Edge stock for a few months now wih an edgewood mini gator with good results. I packed the sand pretty tight in the ears to help narrow the gap.

Which mini gator do you have? Bruno's has quite a selection. Short, med, & tall ears.

Protektor makes a good rear bag for that stock as well, and they are pretty affordable. 65 bucks i do believe. They work well with mine. Good luck in your search friend. Lee

If you have a 3 stitch rear bag, then it is going to be way too wide. A single stitch would be much better. In lew of that, over fill the ears on your 3 stitch, way overfill!!!.

I have the single stich, tall ear mini gator, the ears are very full of bach sand. I filled them by finding a pencil that fit snugly in the funnel and packed the sand in tight till it was hard to fold over flap and close the ear up. Works great now very little play and tracks very straight.

Probably a 2 stitch separation between the ears bag. I have a speedy stock that needs the 2 stitch and a Meredith that is fat and needs a 3 stitch separation between the ears bag.

A cpouple opf solutions

You can run a heavy Monofiliment loop from the stitched area down through the bag and cinch it down toght. This should draw the ears together I am told or run a loop of it through the ears and cinch it up tight. This will for sure bring the ears together.
