Hi Pete....We all seem to have a lack of great ammo, so we are all equal. See you then. Doug

Hey, Pete and Doug wish I could be there, this last lot of ammo i got from Dan you don't even need wind flags.

jlhigdon, would you mind sharing the machine number? I purchased some bricks of the last 6 machine lot from Dan. Haven't had a chance to shoot any yet. Possibly Friday.

Hello Doug, I do not own a competitive sporter at this time, but I'm looking forward to shooting with your group at Manatee hopefully in January. Our RFBR group at HRPC (www.hrpclub.info) shoot a highly competitive USBR unlimited 3 card match on the second Wednesday (8:00 AM) also hold a practice match on the 4th Wednesday. Last match on December 12th, we had 13 unlimited shooters. Winner shot a 731 14X agg. in tricky 6 - 12 mph winds. One of our guys (Richard K.) shot a 742 21X agg. (USBR targets) at our Nov. 28th practice match. We have eleven new concrete benches and fill in between with wood benches when necessary. The 742 21X agg. was shot from a wood bench. If any of you would like to shoot with our club contact me at: center22br@aol.com John

J.Higdon.....Sounds like you have some very good ammo. Now all you have to do is shoot a match with it. That will be the true test.
Center22....We are looking forward to having you shoot with us, and I will look into coming down to one of your matches. I will send you an email to get a little more info. Doug

John, It is off the two machine, it does seam to shoot good, at least I havent found any bad flipers in what I have shot.

Went to the range early today, but the winds picked up early too. I'm still attempting to find the right tuner setting for the Eley Match ammo I have on hand. Burned a couple of boxes of the 1011 (two and six machine) ammo trying to obtain a solid setting ... but conditions were not favorable for tuning. Vertical was near eliminated at around "100" on my new X-III / Shilen Ratchet rifle. Fine tuned to "104" and shot a USBR card using E.M. 1011-02275, score 239 3x, I consider this poor. Reset the tuner @ "096" shot a card with the "New" E.M 1012-06305 score was 242 5X. Not a good card either, but some of the dropped points could have been my fault for not paying enough attention to the flags / indicators. Told one of the guys I was going to try another card, using my best lot of Lapua Center X with same ".096" tuner setting. With the Center X, same conditions, card scored 247 5X ... very good. On my drive home, I kept thinking, ... that can't be ... Center X is not supposed to shoot higher scores than Eley Match. All the big matches conflict with my results today.

J.higdon, I ordered one box each of five different lots of the two machine 1012 Eley Match. Will test them after Christmas, on a good day. John
