Lahr World Record Agg Revisited

Dave Coots

64 Chevy 409 10.42 129
I posted something earlier this year about Jerry's record agg shot with his rail gun at the Minnetonka, Mn range last year. After all the well deserved recognition of the new record group by Mike, and Bart and Harley making the HOF, I thought I would post some better pics of the record agg Jerry shot last year. There was very little recognition given to Jerry in my opinion. He has THE SMALLEST AGG EVER SHOT MY MANB]This was 5-5 shot groups at 100 yards with his rail gun. The old record was set in 1994 and was .1284. The new record is.1242 These are some awesome targets shot over several hours. Jerry doesn't travel much so most of you probably have never met him, but I don't care what everyone says about him, he's ok. If he had not shot that monster .137 he could have had a decent agg...........

Here's Jerry's equipment list.

Powell rail
Bat action made in 1999 that Dwight Scott tuned up.
6ppc Krieger barrel with about 300 rounds through it.
29.6 gr. of 133 same load all day.
65gr flat base bullet made on Rorschach dies.
J4 .790 jackets.

Thanks

Dave

Thanks for posting that great agg. Most of us can only dream of getting it all right at any given time to accomplish such a feat.

By the way, how is hat "409" doing?......... Jackie

Dave, did't he have a booth/tent one year at the Super Shoot.

I think I bought some bullets from him??

Jackie

Went to the track last weekend. Good time, couldn't get into the 11's though. There were 6 of the 409 cars there.

Jerry

You may have bought some of Jerry's bullets, but never had a booth that I know of. He may have sold some from where he loaded. He loves to make bullets..........

That was different Lahr (Don, I believe)....no kin. I, also got some bullets from him. I believe he was from IN, but has since moved out West..perhaps Nevada or Utah or Arizona? Good shooting...James
