JB bor paste, Question

I have a couple of older jars of JB bore paste. When I opened them they are not a smooth as the paste in a new jar.
Does anyone know what would be the correct item to mix in to replace what has somehow left.
Been using Kroil on a patch with the JB but there must be something better.

Centerfire,
I just take a metal dental spatula and stir real good. It is just coming out of suspension of it's carrier.

There have been 2 different formulas of JB. The original JB as sold by Sinclair and others. Then there was a spat between the parties and USP, the maker of JB, came out with a slightly different formula under the name of USP. Recently USP took back their formula for themselves and are now marketing it in a toothpaste tube which contains the original JB compound.

They are also the makers of RemClean and a few other gun maintenance products.

Thanks Jerry, I contacted USP and asked what I might add to make the paste a little better but the basic answer was they did not make it so they don't know what is in it.
Baby oil might help plus the stiring Chino suggested. I think I'll work with small amounts.

JB actually makes 2 basic products. Bore paste and Bore bright.

I had an old jar of JB bore paste that was doing the same thing.
It gave me the idea of trying something new.
I miked it with mobile one oil until it was thin enough I could get it into a squeeze bottle ( with some difficulty) but it comes out well enough to easily coat a nylon brush.
Seems to work but then I need to try the borescope to make sure.

Thanks Vern, I've got some Mobil one and some baby oil and 20 or so bottles of gun oils I've collected + 10w. 20w, and 30w non detergent. :)
I just thought that they would have suggested a mineral oil or a machine oil or what ever but to no avail.
I guess I'll just use my Butches Oil or Kroil as I have been doing with acceptable results.

Do you just put it on a nylon brush and scrub?

I like to use a Parker Hale jag with a patch, or strip of paper toweling wrapped to the fit that I like, snoug but not tight. I also think that it work better with a little oil in the bore, and with some in the patch and the JB rubbed into the patch, rather than a greater amount being piled on a dry patch. I just stir mine up with a small pocket screw driver.

Sounds like KG2 "bore polish" which looks a lot like JB in some solvent solution.
