We will be having the NC State 3 gun meters match followed by the Mid Atlantic Regionals 3 gun meters match this Saturday at Blue Ridge R&P Club located in Wilkesboro, NC. I will open the gate at 7:30 AM on Saturday morning, the NC State match will begin at 9:00AM. I will be at the range setting up for the match from 3:00 until 6:00 on Friday afternoon for those who might arrive on Friday and want to practice a bit. Bring you're drinking water. We will have simple sandwich makings available for lunch, ham, bologna cheese, and chips. If you require special food, bring it. Match fee for both matches will be $50.00, or 25.00 per 3 card match.
If you are planning to attend please let me know, so I'll know how much food to pick up.
Thanks,
Kent

Hi Kent,
My brother is coming this weekend, so will not be able to be there. I sure hate to miss. I always look forward to your shoots. I know that you will have a good one.
Jim
I'll try to let you know about Truman.

Kent, Truman and Dave Cook are coming. Truman doesn't have any bullets and I thought you might have some to give him.
Jim

Jim,
We will miss you, and I'll miss you for scoring targets as well. You and Ernie did a super job last time. Glad that Truman and Dave are coming. I'm expecting record setting conditions, and I wouldn't be suprised if someone set a new meters record.

Man, I wish you could make it. I wanted to pay you back for the whupping you gave me at Sparta:)
Glad to hear Truman doesn't have any bullets. We can probably fix him up with some killer ammo. I'll pick some up from Walmart on the way to the range. As good as he is, he should be able to do well with anything we give him.

Good news Kent,
I guess I can make it afterall. My brother has posponed the trip over. See you Sat morning.
Jim

That's great Jim! And Pepper, glad you're going to be able to make it as well. We'll have fun, and hopefully shoot some good targets as well in the process.

Wallace,
That's great news! Couldn't do it without your help! Devin and I are going to set up the range this afternoon. I got a message from Bob Collins that he and Mike Cameron were coming as well. It's shaping up to be a great match. See you in the AM. Thanks.

Kent, Thank you for a great day in the sun, and the wind and the rain. You did a fine job of running the match. Wallace is awsome on the computer. We will lookforward to coming back to Blue Ridge.
Jim

I can't thank you all of you guys enough for the help you gave during the match yesterday. Ernie, and Jim for scoring and Wallace on the PC work, Devin for taking down targets and helping out all around. Thanks to Jonathan for bring a tent and table to set up for the food. There is NO way I could have done it without the help of the rest of you guys. Thanks to Allen Stigall for keeping time for the match and keeping things moving along in an orderly fashion. If I missed anyone, I apoligize, but thanks to ALL that participated in the match. It's the shooters that make the match, and thanks to all who showed up.

I was proud of Devin. He needs a little better ammo, and I'm going to find him some this week. He's doing better with a sporter, but unfortunately he had to shoot the afternoon sporter target in that hard wind. He told me he had to hold at 5 oclock in the black to shoot tens, but he had to shoot the hard stuff because it wouldn't let up. The guys who shot the second relay in sporter caught a bad break in the afternoon when the storm came in. Sorry that happened.

Thanks Kent. David .Jim .and myself had ablast,
enjoyed all the long time no see friends that came.
that last sporter was a dousie, the wind and rain was a blast.
congrats.to all the winners you guys sure a tough bunch, thanks to all you are a great lot of people bar none.
thanks again Wallace for posting so quick great job

Posting just a little latter than I had planned but here they are. Good day to shoot, good crowd of folks, lots of 250's, some rain, little wind (some times too little), some traveled several hours to get there (Bob Collins probably has the distance-time record), good sandwichs, good looking certificates. Lots of HOF points and LIST points were earned. Dennis Drake, Mr. New York, earned a new name. Don Stith probably had a good trip back to Troutdale, hope Bev survived the trip. Hope Ken Camper was able to control Dennis all the way to Buchanan. Pepper and Webber probably fussed all the way back to Bristol. Long day. Devin beat granpa on a couple of targets. Thanks Ernie for sharing your equipment, saved me lots of time and effort. Shooters you might want to get your favorite chigger remedy out and check yourself. I'm using DERMAREST from Wally World. Wish now I had shot the last match but the DC-AC converter was a problem after the first match - used wrong accessory plug-in in the truck but did finally get it working - sorry 'bout the delay for certificates after the first match but the printer needs AC. If you didn't get your certificate, Kent has them for you. Kent, get some well earned rest today and let the driver seat dry off. Did not get a chance to update all the equipment list so don't put lots of faith in those, as usual.

Ernie/Dennis,

Congrats, I think both of you guys set new records.

Ernie, your new barrel must be humming!!!!

Dennis, ( My bad! MR. NEW YORK) 'You still shooting the same old set up or have you changed things?

Great shooting guys.

NC State Match

Thanks Tony. The Competition is getting tougher every year.I shot back to back 250-18x and was second on both targets.Fortunately the 2 gun agg is a new reecord. To answer your question I couldn't get the new barrel to shoot. After two bricks I took it off and put the barrel from the old blue gun on the new Pippin stock and Turbo action. With
out any practice that combo shot a new record.Tried a different gun the second match
and ended up mid pack even though the conditions were better.

Ernie,

That barrel from blue gun was installed by Calfee wasn't it??

Sorry the new barrel didn't work out, but it was good that you had a good one to go back to. Now don't you wonder why you ever took it off in the first place?

Hate to admit it but thats the old used Lilja 4 groove that Bill put on for Shannon Hollen back in 2007.I bought it from Shannon the end of 2008 and shot it
in 2009.And yes I deserve a kick in the a-- for taking it off.I got lucky when I screwed it onto the new action. The extractor slots lined up and all I had to do was skim
off a few thousanths to set the head space.

Kudos Ernie

on the new record. I am too new at this to recognize records when they are set. I think I may have told you about how good I thought the Lilja I had way back was, eh? Tennyrate, congratulations on some fine shooting.
