Over the last several months, the IBS Group Committee has been taking a hard look at our hallmark event of each year. The Nationals are the most important match we have, and in recent years, it's been declining in both quality, and attendance. In years past, the host club has been given total latitude in the running of the match. In some cases, this works out fine, while in others, not so much. Each range is different, and can present a unique set of challenges. For this reason, we've come to the decision to bring on a "Nationals Match Director" that will oversee, coordinate, and execute our Nationals for this year, and in the years to come. Nancy Scarborough will be that Match Director, with help of course from Bob. Nancy has shown the willingness and ability to execute a top notch match, that we all enjoy attending. This development does take some control away from the hosting clubs, but it also relieves a huge chunk of their burden as well. Hopefully this will entice new clubs to enter the field for potential Nationals venues.
