Hunter Class practice targets

If you want these targets to practice for the real thing, get the real thing. Orrville Printing is doing the real thing now. Better paper than before and finer lines than before.

Those free targets aren't worth what you paid for them for real practice.

Francis is in fact correct ,
if you want targets to Practice Hunter class (not VFS) none of the previously mentioned is worth the effort to print them. Sinclair however can also provide proper targets and at around $8 (+ shipping) for 25 targets is probably your cheapest source.

Harsh though it may seem is this:
If Tom can't afford targets, he can't afford Benchrest.
I try to be honest.

That statement seems a little over the top to me Francis. I read the man's post as saying he liked to print his own practice targets. I never read he "couldn't afford targets" into the post.

I'm with Francis

With a VFS rifle one can use about anything for a target but to properly practice HBR one had better buy the correct target or have the ability to print a target card with all 6 bulls on it. I never practice any more but should and if I were to decide to, I would do it with the real thing.

Some guys in my home club use to get paper from a local paper mill and had a local printer replicate the HUNTER target. They were good and less expensive but the paper mill colsed :( !

I see your point Francis.
Practice is supposed, to help make you, a better shooter. Not save you some money.
Why shot the cheap bullets??? When you won't shoot those in a tournament.
Why shoot copy paper? It does not tear, like target paper. It is hard to judge/measure a nice group. And a nice group, may not be the smallest.....
