I think meplat trimming or the equivalent is critical. Sometimes loads single-digit ES at 100yds will still show vertical at 600-1000 due to BC variance.

For 100-200 you can file your bullet tips and still bughole.

And yet it seems that some of the top performers are quite anal about them.
