Lapua brass before it becomes a safety issue ??? Is there a minimum or optimum amount of neck brass (in thousandths) that should always be there ??? Thanks for your response. Art
Many shooters use a .261 neck. That is around .0085 wall thickness, determining on how much loaded round clearance you want.
I have never seen any thinner than that.
As for being a safety issue, I doubt it would ever be called that. All that happens when a neck cracks, or falls off, is it might get stuck in the neck of the chamber. The rest of the case still holds the pressure just fine........jackie
