Home Loading Bench

Thanks for the suggestions, guys! I'll most certainly be looking up those plans. Seems a bench like that gives plenty of space and I like the idea of 2 extra feet. Looks sturdy as can be too.

I am finishing a bench made from a sold entry door mounted to a 2X4 which is mounted to a block wall with concrete screws.
The front is supported by 2X4's.
I have a shelf just off the floor from the legs to the wall that is strong enough to support anything.
I installed "Woodcraft" tracks similar to those shown on Brians bench that have mounting holes every 3 - 4 inches.
Since the door center was particle board I drilled 3/8 holes for each screw and glued in dowels.
I am now using 3/8 inch thick plastic bases that mount to both tracks (with overhang) for each device.
If I have flex problems I will use 3/8 aluminium or steel.
I did install plastic laminate on the top and all four sides.

Seems to be rock solid.

Working on shelves, etc. now.
