Will be shooting the second UK World postal match this Sat. March 23 from Noon to 4:30 PM.
$5.00 for 3 World Targets. Range setup 11:00 A.M. Match starts at Noon.
Bring what you have or I can set you up with equipment and a gun.

Looks like 3 lines and if you are shooting two guns? let me know which gun is for the World postal before you shoot.

Hope to see you Sat.

Paul,

Looking forward to it as I'll be getting my HV gun back from Dan just before sitting down to compete, so it could get interesting in a hurry. Plus, I'll be shooting some untested pellets as well. Either will come up smiling, or will crash and burn in front of the world.

Dave

good luck also from italian's and french br shooters:)

Just to highlight Carlo's comment.

France rarely shoot outside their own country (even in postal competitions). To the best of my knowledge they are only shooting in the rimfire competition. Hopefully they will enjoy themselves and we can perhaps convert one or two over to air rifle as well in the future :)

Brian

Thanks for the well wishes !

Brian and Carlo,
Trying to get anyone on the rifle team to shoot the rimfire match. No luck so far. Will still show up on Sunday night to get some one to shoot.

Getting tired of all the snow. Two feet last week, 10 inches today, just started snowing tonight!!

Paul

Paul,

Shooting 25yd/m rimfire is an acquired taste and not all take to it. I like it and find trying to get those last few X’s compelling. We have a good number up for the rimfire from around the world so there are no medals going to be given away and we can take a straw pole at the end to see if they wish to continue with it, maybe run a 50m event in the summer and see how that goes. The UKBR22 are trying a new class this year, 50yd air rifle with 12ft/lb rifles (we’ll see how many are still interested in that at the end of the year )

Speaking of summer, I take your point. I know we’ve had harder winters than this one, but as I’m getting older they seem to be getting longer. Where’s that Al Gore fella when you need him!!!

Brian

Brian,

I may only live an hour or so north of Paul but we got 13+ yesterday with more on the way for tomorrow, or so they say. And why don't you wash your mouth out with soap after throwing that name around these parts. Thanks for reminding us and all that.
My brother lives in Favorsham and has said you've been getting your fair share this winter. Maybe not all snow, but lots of cold and wet. On a brighter note: it won't be long before everything's in bloom over there. Even though you're further north, you're at least a month ahead of us with that.

Sorry………but to be fair I think he had a point. I’m thinking of taking the gas heating out and going back to coal, see if we can’t warm it up a bit more.

Favorsham? that’s the deep south from where I live :)

Brian

So, if you're up north, right now your split between daylight and night is probably close to where we're at. Of course, now Spring has arrived you're going to walk away from us in leaps and bounds with the amount of sunlight you'll be seeing over what we see. From what I've been told, come mid-summer twilight doesn't happen until 10pm. Of course, my source isn't all that believable as he tends to stretch the truth more often that not, so I may not know anything about what I speak of.

Good luck with your shooting over the next or two week.

Dave

54.5 degrees north, where your about 42N

I reckon your about 850 miles south of me. Of course you have Canada and we have the Gulf Stream.

So we'll call it even ;)

Same to you Dave, shoot straight and good luck.

Brian
ps your source is good

Here you go Dave, just to prove your source is correct: 10pm on the summer solstice -
