High scope-rings

Hello.
I'm curious of your experience/feeling of shooting with higher scoperings.
I have change my original BAT-rings from 0,85 to 1,57 inch (actions top to bottom of the scope)
Hope to get more upright... and avoid contact with cheek/butt :eek:
I'm not the small kind of guy :D

Any experience as unsteady rifle/gun?

I'm a beginner but I want to learn. I have seen some shooters here in Scandinavia choosing higher scoperings.
Maybee I'm going the right way.. or maybee not :)

I have shot very high rings for a lot of years now. It gets you more upright and relaxed in your shooting postion. Probably keeps you from getting scope kissed. And if you wear glasses, allows you to be much closer to the optical center of your lenses. Win, Win, Win, especially as we all get older
 
Nice. Maybee I've done the right choise then.
Hope to get upright and also have better overview across the shooting range.
Probably no more pain in the "back of the neck" after some days shooting....
I wear glasses of course, dont want more kisses :)

Been using Kelbly's high rings (one inch) for years. Work great; also keeps my head higher and eliminates my ear protection from hitting the stock.
 
Good to hear Virg but yours "one inch-rings" are nearly like my first BAT originals (0,87)
My new one are 1,57 inch high.

But I hope to get satisfied, me too
 
Hi Bullen: Sorry...senior moment...senior moment...upon re-measurement, my Kelbly's are 1.5". They are not like me (shrinking with age).

Ok 1,5 are high enough, happy to hear that you are satisfied.

Greg: I already got 2 par of high scoperings but "why not" still check with Mr Pearson.
