It's that time of year guys and gals, dust off those hog guns and come and try to get that 300.00 prize money!!!!!!! There will also be some good prizes on the table too. There will be a new 700 Rem. 30.06 laying there for some lucky shooter. Larry's had alot of phone calls so it should be another good turnout. The range will open for practice March 31 at 8:00 am till 2:00pm April 4.
See ya there, Gary...............Bull's Eye 704-462-1948

P.S. Come on back Culpepper, I'll save ya a parking spot..........

The prodigal returns

Gary,

I've always been a sucker for a personal invitation! I'll be there with bells on. As for the parking space, I'm counting on it. Don't let Larry start five minutes early to beat the rain as he has done before or I'm liable to miss the show as I have nearly done in the past. Schedules is schedules and I don't want to be the only one shooting under Biathalon conditions. Or maybe I could show up a few minutes early. Naw, wouldn't want to ruin my reputation for punctuality.

Best regards,

Greg

I'll get the results from larry today and post the top three in each class. Can tell ya this we had about 150 custom guns and about 30 factory guns. Factory won it all!!!!!!!!!

Gary

Here's the results, I'll start with the factory class since a factory gun won the overall.
Factory
1st Jason Hunt 96 points
2nd Rodney Austin 87 points
3rd Rodney Austin 81 points
Jason shot a Savage and i'm not sure but I think Rodney also shot a Savage.

Custom
1st Brian Moore 95 points
2nd Johnny Powers 89 points
3rd Tim Sellers 87 points

We had 11 shooters break the egg at 500 yards, and by the way I finished a close 45th heh,heh and will order my new Savage first thing monday mourning.

Congrats to all the winners and thanks to all the shooters...........

Gary

There were 193 entries on the board. Course some of the shooters shot factory and custom together. The post above that said 150 custom and 30 factory should be the count.

It rained on and off all day. Guess that is why the attendance was down some. Larry and the girls had plenty of tents up though.

I ate some really good home made chocolate cake.

Thanks all!!!

Way to go Brian. That was some good shooting.I'll see you and Mr. Cooper at Piedmont this weekend if I'm not working.Good shooting buddy.

Factory Class Rifles

Gary,

Didn't Larry state that the Savage precision varmenters and the F-Class guns would probably not be allowed in the factory class next year? I thought Larry said that they were going to be considered as custom shop guns.

Brian Moore

Brian the long range precision varmiters are not custom shop guns. They are meerly catalog items anyone can have one in 3 days. The way it looked they want be to eager to see them in the custom class ethier.
