I seem to remember you talking to one of the Germans about his joystick rest. I think you commented about how smooth it was. Do you know if it was an SEB coaxial rest?
Thanks,
Dan

I think you are referring to the Italian one I was discussing. It was a prototype being shown by its designer, who was practicing for the rimfire event. A really keen cammed, pantographlike mechanism that was smooth and translated the gun's sweep easily far beyond the span and height of the target. Though it was a joystick type, it used two separate systems for the motions that were cleverly interlinked. He said they will be made for sale, but the price estimate was pretty high to me. He didn't seem to have any hesitance in showing us the workings of it though. I tried to get a better look the second day, but never spotted the rig again.

I wanted to get a look at it but missed my chance. I was hoping to get some ideas about the actual joystick part of the mechanism. The worlds was the first time that I saw a joystick style rest. I think I could get to like one of those, maybe a winter project.
I'll search for the Ciognni, thanks Landy, LD.

MNo, that is really very like the Farley and less expensive Fire control unit. this was much, much different.
