Help on chasing receiver threads

I have a savage 110 with some flattened threads in the receiver. I had a heck of a time getting the barrel off. They must have put it together screwy at the factory because this is the first time the barrel was off. Does anybody know where I can get a thread chaser or tap to clean up the threads? Thanks.

MSC industrial stocks them. I use a 1.0625x20tpi. It can be threaded into the action by hand without a tap wrench.

You'll be better off to single point the receiver threads with facing cuts to the lug buttresses & receiver ring.

depending on how much work is necessary, you can touch up threads with a thread file......
