Does anyone know how to disassemble one of these units? I have one which is not long out of warranty which now seems to have something loose inside it as sometimes you can see through it and sometimes is black. If lightly shaken something can be heard rattling inside it. I am totally mystified as to why this has happened as the unit has not been dropped abused etc. It was working and the next time I took it out of its box it wasn't. Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks

Have you talked to the maker?

Advice from Gradient Lens Corporation

Dear Sir:
I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing problems with your Angled Eyepiece. What sounds like is happening is that the mirror inside this unit has come unglued. Normally, all repairs are done here at our factory in Rochester, New York, USA. But I would hate to have you send this unit to us and pay so much in shipping when it sounds like a simple repair. What I would suggest to you is the following: there is a black set screw in the back of the unit. Unscrew this and pull out the piece where the mirror is glued to. Reglue the mirror. We use a special epoxy here, but I think you can get away with using some type of super glue. Just make sure that the mirror is glue directly in the middle of the little black part. I hope this works...if not, it will need to be returned to us.
Please let me know if you need anything else.
Best Regards,
(Operations Assistant)

I would like to thank Gradient Lens for their prompt reply and advice to my email.
