Nice rest! Nice stock too, but the range looks illegal. No place for the winds to blow with berms all the way around it:) Just joking! Really--just jokin':)
I like the range, looks like a good place to test ammo!

Don,

Nice looking rest! I've got mine as well and have been waiting for some warmer weather (at somewhere closer to freezing) in order to give it a test-run so as not to freeze my ...ah... fingers off. Man, oh man, did Allan do a nice job with these rests. Everything appears to be just as you'd want.

It's suppose to warm up to maybe 40° on Friday, so maybe then. We'll see, and I'll let you know what I think after that.

I make a very similar stock, but that is not mine
I know, bad planning.

I also recently purchased a one piece rest from Allan Hall as a Christmas present to myself. The workmanship on this rest is absolutely incredible. Also, Allan is a class act and a gentleman. We talked by phone several times and he was nice enough to answer a barrage of questions I threw at him. I think he actually shipped my rest to me before my check had time to clear the bank, and he doesn't know me from Adam. It is nice to know that there are people like him involved in this sport.

Not having been involved

and not having a very extensive experience in RF Benchrest for the past 13 years, I have a question.

Are one pieced rests allowed in all Rimfire competition (s)?

Pete

One piece rest are allowed in ARA and unlimited IR 50/50 and RBA events.

Sporters, 10.5 and 13 lb. classes require two piece rests.
