Hall actions used a 4140 CM bolt. I think he tried stainless bolts at first but they didn't work due to galling. This is covered in Stuart Otteson's booklet Benchrest Actions and Triggers which is a reprint of articles that were in Rifle magazine in the 80's or 90's.well built action. Takes a XP 100 firing pin, there is another thread on here about changing firing pin springs, one man shop, he doesn't make CF actions anymore as far as I know(RF he does), he will still do work on them. SS bolt so keep the lugs greased. I have one and like it.
