We had the second half of the Gulf Coast Region Meeting at Midland Saturday, and had the final vote as to how the Varmint for Score Agenda Item will be presented.
It was by overwhelming majority that the members voted to send Scott Hunter with the Agenda that will establish Varmint For Score as a Sanctioned NBRSA Event, using the same scoring system and target as does the current HBR Class.
That means, best edge scoring, the X as the tie breaker, and the same tie breaker in the event of a tie in score and X count.
Ther members felt that changing the current system, (also used by the IBS), would probably be detramental to encouraging new shooters to join the NBRSA and shoot the Registered Events.
I am giving a rather simple synopsis of the discussion, we covered a lot of different concepts, all of which have been discussed on this Forum as of late.
Of course, the Gulf Coast Region will just present the item as we wanted. The Board of Directors might wish to vote no, or even alter the Agenda Item in such a manner as they see fit to accomplish the goals of the Organization........jackie
