Group size based on optics?

Has anyone tested a known load for accuracy between a 24x power scope with something much higher? I’m sure someone has. Considering upgrading from 24x for 600 and 1000y build. Thanks

I guess I should ask a different way.
I normally use 6-24 power for long range with an occasional 6.5-20 mark 4. What kind of group difference could one expect from an upgrade to a s3 10-50 or vortex ge 15-60?
I am ignorant to f class and benchrest scopes and setups

If you can see the aiming point clearly, not much at all if you already have it on 24x.

Jackie, thank you. I have read sides of the aisle. Some say the s3 made a huge difference in group size from a 24x and heard it doesn’t matter if you can see.

A variable is better in that you can turn it down when the mirage gets bad. Lot's of tight groups have been shot with iron sights in service rifle matches. It all comes down to sight alignment.
