Got my appointment

I called the VA today and got an appointment for Covid 19 Vaccine and only ten days out! Progress.

Given the hurry-up (which I guess included less-than thorough testing) on getting a vaccine to the public, and the fact that it's not unusual to hear that some (many?) health-care workers have refused it, I'm curious as to why you're in line to get it -- thoughts?

I have a physician friend

who has had his first shot and is having the second in a few days. I'm 76. I have some underlying situations. I'm a risk taker, always have been. I don't think the world is flat.

on a news feed today a lot of the medical people (in Texas) refusing it are doing so for political reasons, no further explanation. I think production time is the pretty simple reason for in line. The VA is first giving it to personnel and then those over 75 of which I'm one. I read today the Russians' say no alcohol for a few months after taking it.
