IMG_0539.JPGThis beautiful piece of walnut came to me via the kindness of Gary and Cody Church, of Emma Creek Gun Works, Sedgwick, KS. They did all of shaping and in-letting (Borden Rimrock BR, RBLPRE, w/both .222BF & .308BF Bolts) - I did some sanding and "finishing" - now, range-ready. Maybe shoot tomorrow, or, Tuesday.

Stock configuration is very similar to the LeeSix SPG style, which is my favorite, but with a narrower butt-stock bottom edge. It appears that Gary and Cody made it dead-straight - can't wait to test it! First two BBLs: 25 BR (Bartlein 1:10" twist; .20VarTarg (X-Caliber 1:11" twist), with a couple of [proven] "back-ups" on the bench.;)Keep 'em ON the X! RG

Beautiful rifle!!! Could you show us a better full length shot of the rifle? I want to see the Lee six SPG style and see if mine is like it. The cradle it is resting in has my curiosity also.
 
Chet - you are correct, thank you - went into transposition mode again - I corrected the action info. :) I've been working my way back to wood since I tipped over . . . still got a way to go. :p None of my other rigs are very pretty though - this one & the next, are exceptions to my normal ugly stuff.;)

I'll attempt to attach the full-length views ebb requested. The for-end is not exactly like the LeeSix SPG, as it has flat [vertical] edges about 3/8ths" deep along the length of the rosewood laminate. The drop is a little steeper than most
of the contemporary designs, but I seem to shoot this style well.

P.S. ebb, I do not have all the specifics regarding the cradle - it was a gift, from "Humble Henry" Rivers after a recent prairie dog shootin' lesson, where once again, I 'learnt' him a few things! :p And Humble taught me the difference between, "over yonder", and, "WAY over yonder!";) The cradle is going to live in the shop - way too nice to carry around in the pick-up!:DRG

Jackie, I cannot recall the exact [stock] weight & can't find my notes either - I think, B4 sanding/finishing, it was right at 36Oz.! :p

On the balance, ready to shoot, it weighs 12#14.6Oz. This with the 15-55 NF Comp, and 241/4" BBL (from BF, 4.0" @ 1.210", then tapers to 0.810" @ muzzle), 20 Cal hole, w/20VarTarg chamber, For me, without adding weight,it's not easy to get to 13.5#! I could have made it, using that last inch of shank. For "extra weight, I used a Murphy Precision SS picatinny rail, and Gold Creek Rifles rings, with bubble level, and the NF Comp., which I believe is 29 Oz. Oh, it has 9 coats of sprayed-on finish - next time, I'll return to hand-rubbing - did not weigh again after finishing to see what the finish weighed.:eek:

I found Murphy Precision very good to work with (there were some hole spacing issues - the Rimrock and Alpine spacing is not the same, which Murphy promptly rectified), and very nice bases. :cool:RG
