Good alternative to a 10L?

I am considering replacing my 10L with something more modern. I would prefer a gear head machine with a short spindle that has a 1.250" spindle bore, at least and not too heavy. Any recommendations appreciated.

Nardini 1230 appears to be in good shape

Pete,

Here is one in Northern Virginia. If it is still around when I go back to see the grandkids at the end of the month, I may just rent a trailer and haul this thing to TX. Chantilly is a short drive where my children live. Last month he had it listed for $3500, reduced to $2500 and it sounds like he has room to negotiate.

I think I will just wait when Dave gets tired of his Nardini, I will make him an offer he can't refuse..... cheers, Dave.

That's what I'm talking about :)

Hard to imagine anything any better for what I want. I would prefer one a bit longer but that one would do. Did I mention it looks Strong ?

Thanks,

Pete

I found one!

There is a 14-40 in Boston on Craigslist. It appears to be a bigger, heavier machine than I can accommodate. Too bad :(.
