Yes they are. I have two and they both shoot. One in particular has become my favorite rimfire. I do not shoot competitive rimfire, but try to make our club shoots and in the Winter several matches at 100 and 200 yards. Both guns shoot Federal 922A or the old 900 as well as anything else. Enjoy your new rifle!

GLP let me shoot his in a 200 yd match a couple of winters ago now. I was so impressed, I bought one and have finally found a single shot adapter and a good "Period" scope for it. It's one heck of a nice rifle and it shoots well also. It likes an 09 lot of Eley Match I happened to have. Wish I had more of that lot of Match though
. I'm keeping my eye peeled for it.)

My Mike Walker 37 does have the period scope and he had them put a short non cataloged barrel on it. It does have the SS adaptor.

What is a good price for a 37. I have one that I would sell if I could get a good price for it. As far as I know it is all original and has the single shot adapter in it. Also has what appears to be Unertl mounts on it.

Jim: I own more than a few 37's. I have paid anywhere from $400 to $1400 for them, depending on condition and configuration. To collectors the fact that they are untouched is very important. Me, I'd rather have one with some character and/or history behind it. Bottom line is they are worth whatever the buyer decided is his top price for yours. I do not own an all factory original 37 by the way. bob
