For those of you who own Wick’s Wind Flags.

I bought a set of used Wick’s wind flags. Some of the props were broken so I had to purchase new ones. I got them from Granger’s, the packaging says Dayton, but they are the same as the originals which say Thorgren Valparaiso on one side. My question is this, when putting the prop back unto the wind flag shaft which side is suppose to face front. The side with the lettering or the smooth side, or does it make no real difference?

Thanks,

Ed

Does Not Matter unless you want to be anal-retentive and are concerned laminar airflow and the lettering is raised?
If so Smooth front - Rough rear

Thanks Doug for the reply. That is what I felt. Got into a debate wth a couple of fellow shooters at Camillus as they felt that they had to be with the lettering facing out, as that was the way they came from Wick's. Tried to show them that the wind was going to move the prop reguardless of which way it faced.
