I don't think there is...

Some people like one or the other for easiness of cleaning it without detaching the tuner.

I use an 11 deg and made a cleaning rod out of Delrin for cleaning the crown and inner tube of the tuner using a 2" patch, it works like a dream.
A good friend does the same in a straight and he is also very happy.
