Would some one point me to a source for the "plastic cardboard" used to make the vane on wind flags.

I like to use the "free" stuff that they use for advertising billboards in convenience stores. I have a friend that works for a chain of them and can get it for me when they're done with it. Sign shops should have it for sale though.---Mike Ezell

local sign shop

Any local sign shop should have. Check with them as to the thickness you want.
I believe it was in mm. Sold in sheets and colors. Easy to cut.

I agree with Adrian. I made my own flags for over 10 years and finally realized that I couldn't make them as well as Rick. By the time I rounded up all the materials and made the pivots and such I can buy them cheaper (and better) than trying to make them myself.

Not to be too "catty"...but

there are a heck of a lot flag makers out there. And there are even a few who have had more National Championships shot over them and World records shot over them than Rick Grahams.

No argument here and did not mean to 'dis' another man's efforts. I've owned Smiley's flags, ones that I've made myself (many of them) and was simply stating that I have found Rick's extremely nice. Tony does, in fact, use Smiley's flags and I gave my Smiley flags to Tony when I quit using them.

Thank you

Mickey. You always have been a gentleman.

David,
What a nice thing to say! When it comes my time to go Home I would like to be remembered in such a way.
Thank you.
