Now that the dust has settled, all E-mails answered or deleted, and phone calls answered, with as much diplomacy as I could muster up, it's time for the Crawfish Shoot! We hope to start the Season off with the best match yet here at Gateway Rifle and Pistol Club, Jacksonville, Fl. We will have the range open for practice starting on thursday the 15th of April to help eliminate the Tax Blues and let everyone get used to our friendly sea breezes and balmy temperatures. Drawing for benches will commence at 3:00pm on friday the 16th and cease at 8:00am on Saturday the 17th. Relay rotation between Sat. and Sun. Free water and soft drinks will be available throughout the practice and match sessions. Coffee and donuts will be available Sat. and Sun. morning. Our Feast this year will consist of all you care to eat Crawfish, Shrimp, cole slaw, chips and drinks. We will have a drawing for door prizes for the competitors and the match winners will recieve some beautiful plaques. We have improved our range quite a bit to make it more user friendly, parking will be directly across from the firing line, more tent spaces available, and more handicapped spaces with a wheelchair ramp and access. My contact info is on the web plus in the thread titled "Bench Rotation". Please give me a heads-up if you plan to attend so that we can plan for enough seafood to satisfy all. If you wish a tent space call or E-mail me so I can reserve one for you. See you in a couple of weeks. Bill

Crawfish

Pete, come on down, still plenty of time to make it and this will be the best way to start the season. You just left Florida to early!
Cliff, bring a group of them Tenn. and Va. shooters with you, we'll make room at the bench and the feeding table for all.
We're a week away from the first big match of the season and all is coming together quite well. Ron Barr and Tom Aldridge have been hard at work getting the range ready and their time spent will not go unnoticed. The plaques are ready for pick-up, the Crawfish and Shrimp have been ordered, the door prizes have been gathered, tent spaces ready, and good weather is on it's way! Hope to see all the old friends, make some new friends, and have a great time. We will have a swap meet table set up, so bring whatever you want to sell or trade.:) Thumper
