Anyone have any experience with the weaver 36x40mm for benchrest shooting @ 100 to 200 yds?
I'll be shooting a Savage 93R .17HMR and want to be able to get up close and personal to the targets.

Thanks in advance

The Weaver T-36 is a well respected scope with good optics and you really don't hear much regarding holding point of aim issues. There are alot of them used in BR shooting.

As Charlie said there are a lot of them being used in benchrest shooting. I would not go to a higher priced scope for the gun you would be using it on. It is a quality scope for the money. Can find them used for around $300+ easily. New ones were around $480. I have two in addition to Leupolds in the same configuration.

I have 5= T-36x scopes on my BR rifles and have a adapter that screws on to make them 45x In this way I can move the adapter from scope to scope.

The T-36 will reveal the weaknesses in the rifle/ shooter combination immediately, thus eliminating those pesky trips to the target! Ask me how I know!
