Eye Glasses and Scopes

My problem is lack of focus ability , my eyes remain at a fixed focus with very little ability to adjust, So in order to read I don't use glasses but for anything else I wear glasses that are at about 80% of full correction and have another pair I seldom use at 100% correction.
I focus my scope at an in between level of correction so its about the same amount of strain to adjust with the naked eye as with the 80% correction glasses.
I use the 100% correction lenese when using iron sights at ranges of 300 yards or more.

Oddly enough the vision in my left eye once became perfect 20/20 for several weeks after having a tooth pulled, Never figured out why.

Gunner;

On the light side...
If that happened to me, I might consider having some MORE pulled !

I have astigmatism along with being near-sighted so I have to wear glasses. I shoot a lot of trap as well and used to use Decot but switched to RangerXL. Best advice is buy locally from an eye doctor that can fit the glasses to where your eyes will be looking. No one sold Decots where I like so I bout them mailorder--BIG mistake. Went with RangerXL because a new eye doctor opened up that understood shooting.

"I do have, and have had, a problem with floaters (Spots, wiggly lines, periodic partial blurriness) in my right (Shooting) eye for about the past 6 years. I probably need to make an appointment with both an opthomologist and optometrist as my current glasses are about 5 years old."

There's nothing the docs can do about that, it sucks and it doesn't get better with age! Some of the vision vitamin supplements will help tho; "Occuvite" from Sam's Club helps my floaters quite a bit.

You might take a look at LASER TREATMENT OF EYE FLOATERS. Here's the link: http://www.eyefloaters.com/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1. Only 2 to 3 Ophthalmologists in the world perform this procedure. Doctor John Karickhoff is probably the best. Check out his background on the left. :)
