Hello everyone.

We are holding a score shoot at 200 meters here in Iceland next weekend. I was wondering if anyone has a ready made Excel sheet that one can use to keep track of competitors record of every target and a sum up of the result.

I would apreciate if anyone could either post it here so I could copy it or send it to me by e-mail.

ba@internet.is.

Thanks in advance

There is a scoring program in the Downloads section under miscelaneous on the IBS site. Don't know if it is EXcel.

Thanks Pete.

Found it , downloded it, but dont seem to be able to have it function. Its an Excel spread sheet.

I will try to have some computer guru look at it and see if I am missing something

I have one that I made..it is simple and easy to use...made of an Xcel (2003) spreadsheet...

Score sheet

I got what I need now.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks Francis

The first step is the beginning of a journey as they say.

I am not quite ready with the .30BR yet, and a bigger hole doesnt help much if it isnt in the correct place
So I will just use my old 6PPC. It shoots well.

It seems there will be about 15 competitors in two classes "hunting rifles" and "benchrest rifles" about 50% in each class. In my opinion it is essential to promote other classes as well as benchrest class to kindle enthusiasm for the sport. I can relate to the guy with a top class hunting or varmint rifle that gets unevitably beeten badly by a benchrest rifle and swears never to do that again. Even if he did shoot very well regarding the limitations of his equipment. What the criteria for each class is is not of all importance but just the essence of each compeating against similar equipent in as much as that is possible.

The sooner you go to a .30 in score, the sooner you(or other good shooter) starts kicking arse. Maybe you already are...and if so, great, but....if another good shooter beats you to a .30, you'll be the one playin' catchup--Mike

Mike I know what you mean.

Competition isnt all that fierce here in Iceland and as there isnt anyone shooting a .30BR as of yet a 6PPC does not handicap me at the time. But that doesnt mean that I will not try to catch up with the general trend of shooting a .30BR in score.

I have a new BAT on order and will have it chambered in .30BR. I had a .308 SS barrel laying around that has 1:12 twist and not a match barrel in the strictest sence but had it chambered to a sleeved Rem 700. I do not have BIBs or other good match bullets and am shooting 125 Speer TNT just to fireform the brass and get the feeling for the case and find approx max load. So when my BAT arrives I will be relatively ready to shoot it.
