The election results for the Eastern Regional Director position have been finalized and the outcome was a tie. There were 372 ballots sent out and 196 responded.
The Business Manager Pat Ferrell will be conducting a run-off election that will be concluded by the end of July, again via mail.
The NBRSA is a representative democracy. Your Regional Director has an important role. That director not only administers the competitions and scheduling within the Region, but also serves on the NBRSA Board which sets policy, reviews and determines rules changes, and has input to the governance of the US World Team representation. He or she is the voice of the Region to the NBRSA Board of Directors and the remainder of the NBRSA membership.
The Director's primary job is to communicate with and represent the members of the Region. I urge the members of the Eastern Region of the NBRSA to please take the time to vote in the run-off election.
