A 220 Beggs looks exactly like a 220 Russian to the naked eye. The only small difference is a little tighter radius at the neck/shoulder junction on the Beggs. Gene felt like it helped limit brass growth and need for trimming. I can't say either way because I've never owned a 220 Russian but I've owned a few 220 Beggs bbls over the years. To me, it still needs more frequent trimming than most cases with less case taper. Without a 220 R to compare, I couldn't say if it helps or not but that I think his logic was/is sound.i see that the differance is in shoulder.do you gain much speed in bullets over a 22 ppc.woud like to use the 22 for ground hog hunting .also could some one send me a 220 beggs case to look at please.thanks.
