Strange. I have searched the web and forums and literature for a dimensioned drawing of the 220 Russian Lapua case and can't find one.

Probably the most used benchrest case there is, but no diagrams? Is it me or is this some kind of propietary info?
Any body have one they can post?

Thanks German. I guess that explains why no "220 Russian". I'll go back to the references with the 5,6x39.

Hey Dick, thanks for the link, but
When I click it I get "Forbidden...you have no permission............"
Is there another way to it?

Can you see it now Don ? I had no permission first time I ever found site

It was hard to find by the way. took several searches and about 5 minutes

Dick, I must be missing something. You're original post has a box with an "x" in it and the Link still says "forbidden". Your last post has no picture or link.
What should I be seeing?

Great source of cartridge drawings. I bookmarked it for future reference. Thanks, but Still can't find the 220 Russian or the 5,6x39 that German said was the metric equivalant. The mystery continues........

By George, I think I got it!
Thank you Nemohunter.
If I understand correctly, it's a necked down 7.62x39mm (AK-47) Crtridge.
I think the dimensions on the left are the widths in mm's and the one on the right are lengths.

Dick, I found the 220 Russian (right where you said I would) and it's exactly what I was looking for. Don't know how I missed it.

Thank you,
Don

Don, a detailed print of the standard 220 Russian cartridge can be obtained from Dave Kiff at Pacific Tool and Gauge. This was the print used in developing the 220 Beggs cartridge. With the standard 220 Russian , the radius at the junction of the neck and shoulder is .125. The only difference in the 220 Russian and the 220 Beggs is this radius. With the Beggs cartridges, this radius has been reduced to .060.

Thanks Gene.
What is Dave's email address?
Is his print of the chamber or the case?
Looking forward to my 220 Beggs Barrel. (Why aren't you in the shop?)

Go Gators,
Don

CIP Drawing for 5.6 X 39

I have a PDF drawing for the 5.6 X 39 (220 Russian) that I can E-mail to you if it will help.

I understand that CIP is the European equivalent of SAAMI.
