Jon,
Keep us posted if the Sunday match is to be canceled. The Okie gang probably will not be there due to weather. Even in Duncan we are execting up to four inches of snow and high winds with temps in the low 30's. Cale has a funeral to attend so he will not make it. I will be watching the weather too.

Donald I've decided to lay on my A#$ watch Nascar and Basketball all week. Spring will be here about July 4th.

To All

HAVE FUN and I sure hope you get your $25 worth... Thats football weather not shooting weather..
As bad as I want to shoot and practice for the match in Tomball next weekend, weather dictates thats...
May the warmest shooter win !

Why would anyone want to miss the absolutely best chance ever to freeze their butt off at a match in Texas in late March? Think of the tales of agony and noble suffering that will be told for years to come!

Jon, the match still starts at 9AM?

I plan to be there in my winter wear and get in on the bbbbragging rrrights.

Ya'll have fun

I think I will have to sit this one out. I REALLY want to shoot, but I'm not feeling 100%, and that cold wind will just make it worse.

Jon,
Please post the standings tomorrow afternoon so I can see how everyone did.

GOOD LUCK ALL!!!!

Don't Feel Bad

I really wanted to go over to Lake Charles tommorrow and shoot their Varmint for Score Match. But sitting out in 38 degree weather, with a 15- 20 mph wind blowing, is a little too much.

I admitt it. I'm a wimp.:D.........jackie

Jackie,
No you are not a whimp. You are just getting older. I know we hate to admit it but it is a fact. What used to be a mild inconvience is now a major hinderance. I have about 6 years on you. Just call me a fair weather shooter.:eek:

After my brave words last night....

I stood outside this morning at 6:30AM for ten minutes. Reality set in; ITS COLD! I coughed up green stuff as I have for most of the week. Thought about sitting still to shoot a gun and touching metal with bare hands. Shivered. Watched the snow fall in Dallas Texas on the first day of spring - where IS the global warming? More shivering. More green stuff.

Today common sense will win out over shooting. It is a sad day.

Good luck to all of the brave [and hopefully well insulated] souls shooting today!

fire place

I might be a whimp as well but my fireplace is burning very nicely today here in Dallas. Watching the snow melt outside. It's hard enough at a match during sunny day with blue sky and the wind blowing 30 let alone on a day when it's 33 degrees at sunrise, snow on the ground and blowing 30 with reported gusts higher that that.....)chill(
